BEST HOME SERVICES: A SW FLORIDA STORY; In January of 1972, shortly after his 17th birthday, Perry J. Hodges joined the U. S. Navy and served his country in the Vietnam War. While being stationed in Pearl Harbor on a Destroyer ship, Perry became an electrician. After finishing his naval service, he returned home to California, was married to Marilyn and began working in the residential and commercial electrical trade. In 1977 he became one of the youngest electrical contractors in the State of California. In the early nineties, Perry and Marilyn decided a new beginning was in order for them and their two sons. So in 1992, they found a small electrical business in Florida whose owner wanted to retire. After several months, arrangements were made, the house in California was sold, the moving truck was loaded and on October 13, 1992 the Hodges family arrived in Bonita Springs, Florida. Best has added a wide array of home services over the years and has built a very happy and satisfied clientele. Best was voted by the Ft. Myers News-Press as the best air conditioning and electrical business in all of SW Florida for 2008, 2009 and 2010. Recently at the end of 2011 we changed our name to Best Home Services and added plumbing to our list of offerings.
