The need for getting rid of excessive humidity
How to solve Ventilation Condensation Issues
Do you realize how much you contribute to the water content in your atmosphere simply by living your normal life? You might not have a big figure as the approximate but, to your surprise, it’s about 4 pints of water which makes it almost 100 pints of water vapor in a week and so on. So your existence has a significant effect on the moisture level which causes condensation and ventilation problems. However, there are simple ways to tackle the condensation and ventilation issues at your home or office. Let’s take a look!
Ways to cater Condensation and Ventilation
Here are a few simple ways to avoid condensation at home.
- Try to keep a constant temperature inside the home. You might want to do that anyway for your thermal comfort.
- Don’t dry the clothes inside home as the evaporating water will increase the water content of the air.
- Don’t dry closes using any radiator for the same reason.
- Keep the furniture away from the walls.
- Keep the exhaust or extractor fans running most of the time.
If you follow these steps but, you’re still not getting efficient results then there’s way for you.
Control the humidity.
You could use a dehumidifier to control the humidity level. If a humidifier does not fit in your budget then simply go for the exhaust fans, as mentioned before. Keeping the doors close when these fans are running would be a great advantage.
Make room for ventilation
This will not only help you avoid condensation issues but also, a good ventilated air in your homes. If you can afford, go for a heat-recovery ventilation unit or a more sophisticated approach would be a HVAC system. Such systems replace the stagnant indoor air with fresh air from outside. If a new system is heavy on your pocket then simply trickle vents in the windows of your bedroom, kitchen, attic or any other place, will do.
Use insulation
If possible, use internal wall insulation in the walls of your homes and office. They help in keeping the temperature inside constant and above the dew point of the air indoor.
